TowGlide | How It Works
TowGlide / How It Works
UK-designed and manufactured auto-align A-frame with patented WedgIT™, unique POZILOCK pins and electronic dual-sensing power braking
Two parts working as one system
TowGlide is the UK-made auto-align A-frame. Tow A Frame’s braking system is the electronic proportional power-braking installation, currently using Demco components. We combine the two into one fitted towing solution.
Electronic dual-sensing power braking system
Electronic sensing
The Demco Duo control system uses the motorhome brake-light signal together with the G-force / deceleration sensor in the tow car. Both signals are used to determine when braking is required and how much braking effort is needed.
Vacuum-assisted braking
The vacuum system restores power assistance to the tow car braking system, while the actuator applies the brake pedal in response to the electronic control signal.
Proportional response
The braking effort mirrors the motorhome’s braking demand rather than simply switching on or off. Light braking produces a light response; harder braking produces progressively greater braking effort.
Installation — normally completed in a day
The front of the vehicle is removed for access. We fit the prepared/exchange components and braking equipment, then rebuild the vehicle, test the system and carry out a full handover.
TowGlide connection equipment
POZILOCK pins
Positive push-and-turn locking pins designed for secure, quick connection and easy visual checking.
WedgIT™
Our patented lightweight alignment tool helps bring the connection into line when the car and motorhome are not perfectly positioned.
Bag & spares
The system is supplied with its storage bag and essential touring spares so the TowGlide can be kept together, protected and ready for use.
